Seven Ways to Goof Up Your Church's Compliance

Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

Matthew 22:21 (KJV)

Every church has two “personalities” . . . one is “spiritual,” the other is “civil” . . . even our Lord Jesus recognized this.

While pastors, elders, deacons, and other leaders readily identify the spiritual needs of the church and its members and attenders, and how to respond to those challenges, these same leaders often have little or no familiarity with the civil responsibilities of the church corporation. And it’s not necessarily their fault . . . after all, churches are exempt from the law, right?

Wrong.

This quick-read PDF digital edition explores seven of the most common mistakes churches make when it comes to maintaining their corporation's compliance with local, state, and federal agencies, laws, and regulations.
